This isn't quite my usual post. I have a closing tomorrow, and have been checking the weather — for up here in Sullivan. There's some snow predicted, but the overall forecast here isn't that bad. I just got an email from the buyer, who's just north of NYC, saying they're concerned about being able to make it up. So I checked the NYC forecast, and it's VERY different. This is one of those time where a Noreaster is roaring up the coast, and likely to dump heavy snow on the New York City region, but far less snow up here.
I'm posting this in case you're up here already and planning to go back late tonight, or may have friends who are up and planning to drive back this evening. GO EARLIER!!! The forecast is now for a total of 10" to 18" in the NYC area, starting somewhere between 7 and 9PM this evening.
Here's a link to the current NWS forecast for the Bronx which, of course, could change:
If you have friends who are up for the weekend, pick up the phone and give them a quick call about the weather. Because they may be looking at the Sullivan forecast and not the NYC forecast — and it's going to be the lower Hudson to NYC part of the trip home that's going to be the real problem tonight.
