Phish is on the boards at Bethel Woods for 3 days over Memorial Day weekend, with concerts scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. (For those of you my age -- 50+ -- who might not be familiar with Phish, they're the "Grateful Dead' band phenomenon of a younger generation, with hordes of fans following them from concert to concert.) The Saturday evening concert is sold out; Friday and Sunday are heavily booked, but with some tickets still available.
Nobody around here is quite sure what to expect, in terms of crowds and traffic. How many Phish fans without tickets will show up on Saturday? For the three day weekend concert die hards, how much driving around will they be doing before the Bethel Woods parking lots open each day at 4:30?
Bethel township has posted 17B west of White Lake as 'No Parking'. The Monticello school district has closed Friday due to concerns about school buses being able to get through traffic at the end of the day. A lot of Realtors I've spoken with have decided to avoid showing properties around Bethel this weekend.
For weekenders coming up, you may want to plan a route that avoids 17B through Bethel. If your weekend plans call for traveling cross county on 17B, you may want to plan a little extra time.
Are there likely to be any relatively real time traffic reports either online or by radio?

What, in heavens, is that?
