Good news for folks in the southwest part of Sullivan County. Train service on the Port Jervis line (which connects at Secaucus Junction to Penn station) will be operating again starting next Monday, Nov. 28th. The Port Jervis line between Harriman and Port Jervis has been closed down since Hurricane Irene destroyed a number of section of tracks along the run, requiring commuters to take bus shuttles from stations between Harriman and Port Jervis to connect to trains at Route 17/Ramsey in NJ.
